We know the problems because we have had them: quotations that change, minimum quantities that do not suit the market, production that slips, documentation that arrives incomplete, and quality disputes argued at a distance.
Import problems rarely announce themselves. A fabric weight that comes in under specification. A shade that shifts between dye lots. A tile batch that sits inside tolerance on the sample and outside it on the pallet. These are the things that go wrong quietly, after the money has moved.
Import Israel is run by Chaim, who has been importing into Israel for twenty-five years. The family has been in the import business for more than seventy.
Twenty-five years gives you a process, and it gives you the judgement to know where the process has to bite. Reading a supplier’s reply and noticing the question that was quietly not answered. Looking at a quotation lower than the rest and asking what it does not include. Telling a delay that is normal for the season from one that suggests the factory has a problem it has not mentioned.
Most import problems are decided long before anything is loaded.

Household textiles
Fabric weight and shade consistency between dye lots decide acceptance, so specifications must be written tightly enough to hold a supplier to.
Furniture
Timber moisture and how a container is loaded matter as much as the price agreed for what goes into it.
Ceramic tiles
Dimensional tolerance and breakage in transit are decided by batch and packing, so check the production run, not only the sample.
Clothing
Sizing curves drift between production runs and seasonal dates do not move, so fit and timing are checked before shipment, not after.
We would rather name four categories than claim depth in everything, and we will not tell you that nothing can go wrong on an import. What experience does is move the problems forward — into the sample, the factory check and the standards and testing stage, where they cost time rather than a container.
The work itself is the same whatever the product: verify the factory, agree the standard in writing, inspect before payment falls due, then manage shipping, customs clearance and delivery to your door. Where a category is new to us, we bring the questions and the process, and we tell you what we do not yet know.

We explain risk calmly
Importing carries real risks. They are manageable, and they are easier to manage when they are named in advance rather than discovered at the port.
What we do not claim
- Approvals are issued by the authorities and the testing laboratories, not by us. Our part is to prepare the file properly and keep it moving.
- Our first-hand experience is in household textiles, furniture, ceramic tiles and clothing. Outside those we bring the same process and the same questions, and we say so plainly.
- We do not promise the lowest price. We ask what a quotation leaves out, and we tell you what we find.
- No import is free of risk. The aim is to meet the problems early, while they still cost time rather than a container.
